About the program

  • The Mobility Program provides foreign students the opportunity to enrich their education to undertake part of their program of study, internships and short courses, creditable or not at INTEC and that will be recognized in their home university.

    The program seeks to offer students a complement to their comprehensive training, leading various academic scenarios that facilitate interaction and exchange of multicultural experiences, exposing them to diversity, and encourage the development of skills and competencies that enables them to function in a globalized world.

    El Programa de Movilidad brinda al estudiante extranjero la oportunidad de enriquecer su formación académica al cursar parte de su programa de estudio, pasantías y cursos de corta duración, acreditables o no en el INTEC y que les serán reconocidos en su universidad de origen.


    El programa busca
    ofrecer a los estudiantes un complemento a su formación integral, propiciando escenarios académicos diversos que faciliten la interacción y el intercambio de experiencia multicultural, exponerlos a la diversidad y fomentar el desarrollo de habilidades y competencias para que puedan desenvolverse en un mundo globalizado.

  • INTEC offers to the foreign students the following types of mobility programs in our institution:

    Trimestral periods at INTEC:  This program allows foreign students to do one or two quarters of his career at the INTEC.

    Internships: This allows the students to apply the knowledge gained in the workplace of their profession. Usually has academic value and is part of the CV of the student.

    Medical Rotations: They are practical training in specific areas in hospitals, conducting medical students during their time internship. The practices have a length between 3 and 12 months.

    Continuing Education courses: Can be defined as courses or continuing education courses that students can perform at INTEC.

    El INTEC pone a la disposición de estudiantes extranjeros los siguientes tipos de programas de movilidad en nuestra institución:

    Periodos trimestrales en el INTEC: Este programa les permite a los estudiantes del extranjero realizar uno o dos trimestres de su carrera en el INTEC.

    Pasantía: Esta permite al estudiante aplicar los conocimientos adquiridos en el campo laboral de su profesión. Normalmente tiene valor académico y forma parte del currículo del estudiante.

    Rotaciones Médicas: Son prácticas en áreas específicas de formación, que realizan los estudiantes de Medicina durante su tiempo de internado o de práctica. Las prácticas tienen una duración entre 3 y 12 meses.

    Cursos de educación permanente: Se pueden definir como asignaturas o cursos de educación permanente que los estudiantes extranjeros pueden realizar en el INTEC.o   
    El INTEC pone a la disposición de su estudiantado y estudiantes extranjeros los siguientes tipos de programas de movilidad:

     

    §  Periodos trimestrales en el exterior: Permite a los estudiantes del INTEC realizar uno o dos trimestres de su carrera en el exterior, a través de los convenios firmados con universidades extranjeras. Los estudios realizados serán validados como parte de su programa de estudio.

     

    §  Programas de Verano: Diseñados con la finalidad de cursar estudios en el extranjero para los estudiantes del INTEC en cortos períodos durante el verano.

     

    §  Pasantía: Permite al estudiante aplicar los conocimientos adquiridos en el campo laboral de su profesión. Normalmente tiene valor académico y forma parte del currículo del estudiante. Esta puede ser realizada en una institución nacional o extranjera.

    §  Rotaciones Médicas: Son prácticas en áreas específicas de formación, que realizan los estudiantes de Medicina durante su tiempo de internado o de práctica, en universidades extranjeras. Las prácticas tienen una duración entre 3 y 12 meses.

     

    §  Cursos de educación permanente: Se incluyen los cursos de educación permanente que los estudiantes del INTEC pueden cursar en el exterior, a través de universidades con las que tenemos acuerdos establecidos.

    3. Let them to learn, adapt and integrate new teaching and learning strategies.
    4. Knowing the design, planning and implementation of curriculum reforms, careers or graduate programs and the adaptation of development resources. .
  • Communicate via email the student interest in participating as an exchange student at INTEC to the Student Mobility Unit.

    The Mobility Program Coordination of INTEC will receive and debug the submitted documents by the foreign university, verifying that they meet requirements of the candidate and acknowledge receipt of the same.

    The Mobility Program Coordination of INTEC will forward to the Dean and Career Coordinator a copy of the file of the exchange student for his knowledge and approval.

    Mobility Program Coordination will forward all documentation of the entry student to the Admissions director, who will evaluate and assign the corresponding registration, as set out in the Academic Regulations.

    The incoming student must enter according to the specified dates in the Academic Calendar of INTEC.

      • Where do I get health insurance? The health insurance is required by law. The student can check whether the international insurance of the home insurance company is valid in the Dominican Republic or you can do with one of the country's insurance company.

      • Is there a clothing label for students? The student can come to the institution as comfortable as they want. However, we recommend student to have some formal clothes that could be useful in certain subjects.
